Hack description

This patch will replace certain voice clips
based on the voice actor differences in the
localized voices of Mario Kart 64.

This game reuses many assets from it's
predecessor, including voice clips
(excluding some such as some of Mario's and
Yoshi's voice being Kazumi Totaka's),
however, some of said voice clips are
exclusive to the Japanese version of Mario
Kart 64, since they were changed in other
releases.

This patch aims to replace those voice
differences with their localized
counterparts, more specifically, Charles
Martinet's role as both Luigi and Wario,
Leslie Swan as Princess Peach and Isaac
Marshall as Toad, as well as replacing the
announcer's "congratulations" voice clip
with Charles as Mario, to match Mario Kart
64's localized voices once more.

As a sidenote, some voice clips were either
trimmed or sped up to fit the original
clips' lenght and avoid a bigger file size.

These voices are music to my earsSupergamerguy2022-03-12Version 1.0

This is a great hack, and one well worth using over the original game. Though it may seem minor, hearing the Western voice actors for the Mario cast makes this a complete experience for me. I smiled quite a few times hearing Mario's iconic voice lines, and was hit with a wave of nostalgia upon hearing Toad's "I'm the best!" line every so often. This comes highly recommended for anyone looking to play Super Circuit. When paired with the "Better Colors" hack, you have the definitive version of this GBA title.

This is what the overseas version was missing. Merge this with the color hack and Sunset Wilds restore, and you'll have a mini MK64 experience.

I recently tried to make a patch just like this but I was only able to get Luigi's voice to work. idk how you did this, but I really appreciate this a lot! It's nice to be able to listen to Toad's voice without my ears bleeding.
