Database match: RoboCop 2 (USA) (Rev A)Hack description
This hack simply changes the physics so that the player has better control of Robocop. It now quickly (but not instantly) accelerates to max speed when pressing a direction, and it quickly loses all speed (but not instantly) when directions are released. Works both on ground and in the air.Screenshots

| Sliding fix is good but... | JustSearchingForGoodHacks | 2022-01-03 | Version 1.1 |
...it doesn't fix much. And besides after level 5 you start to slide again. Anyways, there are many other problems in this game. Like an overusage of instakill traps or the fact that simply touching some enemies kills you in one hit too, and let's not even talk about the broken boss of Level 5 that hits you when you hit him. Simple slide fix won't help with those problems. But anyways, as I said, after level 5 you start to slide again, so please finish your hack first. Until then this game is only playable only to level 5 so I can't recommend this hack yet.
| It works! | gromov | 2020-09-02 | Version 1.1 |
Finally, this game has become playable. Even the mentioned issue of moving Robocop a few pixels on a flying platform is a small pay-off for the convenience provided by this hack. Thanks!
| A good start | CryinOnion | 2020-06-08 | Version 1.0 |
Fixing the physics of "Robocop 2" doesn't fix a pretty bad game, but it certainly fixes one of its most serious flaws: The feeling of walking on an ice rink. It's a great start to turning this game into something that's not an insult to its protagonist. Thanks for this, bro!
| Awesome improvement on game play! | cospefogo | 2020-06-04 | Version 1.0 |
I spent months of my life playing the original version on a Brazilian NES clone back in 1991 (if I remember well) and it was so painful to control RoboCop as if he was always walking on a soap floor... oh my — it was a disgrace, but I was able to beat the game. I did swear to never touch this title again! But now, with this AWESOME IMPROVEMENT HACK I really think it is time to revisit this title. The controls are simply perfect now. This is the way it should ever behave! Thanks NESRocks for this great patch!
