Hack description

Just a short level hack, only six levels long to be precise. In addition to altered level layouts, a few graphics have been changed or swapped around to make the game look a bit weirder.

A pretty straightforward ROM hack intended for commitment-free, short play sessions. Levels are more challenging than those in the original game, but fairness has been prioritized over difficulty.

Have fun!

I just finished this hack (using savestates). Oh maaan. Where do I even start? Some of the wackiness was fun, but mostly it was just really frustrating jank. I was hoping for the kind of game where I wouldn't have to resort to savestating, but noooo way. Becaause of all the sprites on the screen, sometimes certain enemies would show up and sometimes they wouldn't. This means on my 2nd or 3rd run through an area, suddenly there'd be enemies that weren't there before. It was really jarring. Also, one time I got to the end and Bowser didn't even show up! (I let myself die because it was underwhelming)

I appreciate the end text, but it wasn't exactly a good vibe, if you know what I mean. There's a VOD of me playing on Twitch, if you wanna see what happened. Maybe I patched it wrong. I did like some of the wackiness, but I really think you should design levels less chaotically.
