Hack description

Hack to remove the letterbox / black border that is drawn at the top and bottom of the screen during gameplay. It was added by the developer to allow more processes to be carried out without slowdown.

In this hack, the letterbox is still enabled during some boss fights that use mode-7
as otherwise the boss or mode-7 background will not appear.

This patch works with the English translation, with any other translated version, e.g. Spanish or Portuguese translation and with the original Japanese ROM.

It is more conformable to have a true full screen. I don't understand why it is only the case in the first game. I hope that we will have a similar hack for "Magical Quest 2 - The Great Circus Mystery starring Mickey and Minnie Mouse".

Wow! Really happy this hack exists. It never bothered me having the letterbox look but it's wonderful not seeing those black bars anymore. The hack does exactly what it says it does, easily seem on the screenshots, and game performance still feels great. Awesome job - thanks for making it!
