An Amazing Hack to Celebrate Mario's 35thAdriftLegend2020-10-09Version 1.35

After becoming addicted to the newly released Super Mario Bros. 35 for the Nintendo Switch, I realized that the vanilla Super Mario Bros. just wasn't going to cut it anymore. I was interested in hunting down a ROM hack that would allow me to practice for Super Mario Bros. 35 offline & provide a worthy challenge that I could come back to time & again. After searching around a bit, I came across this 'Mario random enemies' hack & I was blown away by the content it offered. This patch turns your standard game of Super Mario Bros. into an unforgiving gauntlet of randomly spawned enemies from all across the game, a death counter instead of a life counter, & it respawns you into a random stage upon reaching the goal or when you die trying. Enemies are outfitted with new abilities like being able to jump occasionally or turn into other enemies after being stomped on & some enemies throw out random Hammer Bro hammers, pushing the experience to the edge of relentless. It's got a great roguelite feel with each attempt as refreshing as the last & it's got the potential for a game that can be played endlessly if you can handle the challenge. There's a lot of hard work put into this hack & if you're looking to hone your Goomba stomping skills or challenge yourself again & again, I can't recommend this patch enough. I specifically signed up to the site just to write this review, so it's worth the download if you've got a Super Mario Bros. 35 itch like mine.
