Hack description

Like the previous titles, this patch removes all of X's armor graphics
from his gameplay and mugshot menu sprites.

Also included is a another patch that replaces X's hyper armor palette(the gold color palette)
with his default palette.

Instructions:

To patch this, a copy of this file is needed: Mega Man X 3 (U) [!].smc, and
Flips(a new version of Lunar IPS) to patch it with.

And make sure there's no header on it.

Known bugs:

It's nothing major but after getting the helmet upgrade, the top of X's helmet will shift
a little while moving. This is due to the way that the top part of the upgraded helmet
graphics are set up.

Blue Bomber glory and allMylocke2023-08-08Version 1.0

This Hack by #XStuff removes the armor graphics from X's sprite. Allowing you to always look like you do at the start of the game, Blue Bomber glory and all.

In General, the No Armor Graphics hacks are a must for players wanting to really enjoy the pallets of your earned sub weapons from bosses. Especially in this game I feel. Where the 'Light Armor' from X1 was simple and clean (only adding some nice silver with gold threading) X3's armor is a clunky graphical mess by comparison. My least favorite out of all 6 MMX games (no, there aren't more).

This hack fixes that issue, and gives new cosmetic breath to all of the SNES MMX Games.

Armor off or horrible colors off, your pick!Red Soul2020-07-14Version 1.0

This hack is great for those that feel the armor mounted on X adds visual clutter.

As a bonus, a different patch also removes the awful color palette related to getting all hyper chips, leading to a traditional looking X that doesn't make one's eyes bleed.

I personally do like the armor graphics (not the extra palette), but this one is nice for consistency if you played X1 and X2 with the armor graphics off.

It would be even better if the author could make this compatible with the Zero Project patch.
