A awesome hack!ajkmetiuk2024-07-11Version 2.1

I was translating the common game boy game and came across this colorized DX hack. What great work was done by the authors, both in the colors and in the selection of characters and also the improvements introduced, simply incredible. For those who haven't checked it out yet, this hack is totally recommended 1000 times!

My favorite DX hack.julienktl2024-03-04Version 2.1

Thank you Marc for all your work and update to make this game more and more better. All is beautiful. My only complaint is that I prefer the virus form with Mario but I prefer Luigi and Wario.

WOW! D: Better Than The NES/FC VersionNighted2024-01-17Version 2.1

Ah the MEMORIES playing this with a gf waaaaaay back in the day on NES.

I'm a n00b to the ROM hacks community but looking at this it stands above and beyond, reaching the pinnacle amongst the creme de le creme of color hacks I've seen thus far. The addition of the character selection and that very nice touch with the GameBoy Color intro and logo makes the original obsolete. To the trash bin with my old ROM. ????

Can't wait to see what else is out there. (òÓ,)_,,/

Such a beautiful hack, the colors make it easier to playstarlightbotanist2023-12-29Version 2.1

It's difficult to tell the capsule colors apart on the original Dr. Mario for the gameboy. But this solves that by adding color. It could stop there, but it also adds personality and flair by adding multiple playable characters. Simply fantastic! If I had one request for a future version would be the addition of a "hard-drop" option when pressing up on the d-pad.

Yay! A fav just go faver.Uncle_Jo2023-11-10Version 2.0b

OMG this is fantastic.

This was already my niece's favorite retro game. Now she can be Daisy and I can be Wario!

It takes a favorite and makes it better, this is exactly what I love about Rom Hacking.

The game plays exactly as advertised. I only played through a few levels with each character, but encountered no problems.

Press right or left on the opening screen to play as different characters.

An Homage to Dr. MarioZetawilk2023-11-09Version 2.0b

Now you can play four different flavors of Dr. Mario on the Gameboy Color! I just adore the attention paid to things like virus designs. Luigi's viruses are from Dr. Luigi for Wii U, Daisy's viruses are from Dr. Wario from WarioWare, and Wario's viruses appear to come from the 1990 Virus prototype for NES. I'm not sure what else you could add to Dr. Mario DX now (apart from new music, I suppose), but now you've got a variety of graphical styles to switch between!

Aw, Yeah! Best Girl in DMDX!gamingcat022619912023-11-07Version 2.0

This is definitely an excellent ROM Hack of the Game Boy version of Dr. Mario, and I have no nitpicks that I can see...yet. But, most surprising, the latest update adds my absolute FAVORITE Mario series character, more specifically her doctor persona from a now-defunct mobile entry in the series that I WISHED would've been added to Mario Kart Tour before the declaration that no more content would be added, is playable!

Seriously, if you love the Game Boy Dr. Mario, but don't wish to play specifically as Dr. Mario himself, then this ROM Hack is for you!

Excellent update!SegaMan892023-11-07Version 2.0

I love the full color DX hack of this game already and now it's even better with the extra characters like the other hacks for it! Great job! :)

Perfect workLigeia2022-03-14Version 1.0

This colorization is simply perfect and makes the game so much better. It plays flawlessly as far as I'm concerned. Go for it!

Prayers answered!tjsynkral2020-12-16Version 1.0

I can't think of a game that suffers more on the GB from being monochrome than Dr. Mario. Nintendo tried, and made it basically playable but not very fun. This hack does what Nintendidn't and finally gives us the color version we always needed.

What the Game Boy Color should've hadVenomrush19972020-08-03Version 1.0

Despite this being a colorization of a standard GB game, the colors are all laid out perfectly. This is what Nintendo should have done, make a full "DX" series with their older monochrome titles to give them color.

Nothing more can be said other than that this nails Nintendo's GBC quality so beautifully, hopefully there will be more colorized hacks in the future.

A surprise to be sure, but a welcome oneSupergamerguy2020-07-29Version 1.0

I didnt ever think a hack like this would exist. I mean, we have the NES original, right? On that note I'm not sure that this hack needed to exist in the first place.....

But that doesnt mean that the effort isnt spectacular! The use if color and spriting is phenomenal and needs to be congratulated. Overall, its just good work and needs to be made aware to Gameboy enthusiasts and puzzle fans alike.

Very Goodraven20612020-07-22Version 1.0

Game looks very pretty with this hack.

This is gorgeous!DELETE MY ACCOUNT2020-07-22Version 1.0

Thank you so much for doing this - it looks absolutely gorgeous! Dr. Mario has always been one of my favourite games, despite the fact that the nes and snes console versions have hideous colours; so I've leaned towards the game boy version, alternately colourized by either the GBC palettes or SGB palettes. This hack is my new favourite choice.
