Hack description

Super Royal Pals. is a "What If" hack. What if Nintendo decided to make the ladies of
the Mushroom Kingdom the stars of the story. Except this time it's the first game.

The following changes were made:
* Replaced all character graphics with new graphics based on redrawn Princess Peach Graphics used in the "Princess Sidestory - Royal Flush" hack.

* Redrew all of the graphics and sprites to fit the "outline" style of the above sprite.

* Updated palettes where needed to help make the outlines visible.

* Removed lives and score.

* Coins now increase your "Money Bags" count when you reach 100.

* Fixed small bugs across the game. Made the ending sequence faster.

This beauty of a hack kicked off my favorite hack saga: Super Royal Pals. Anyway, what I loved the most is the inclusion of Princesses Peach and Daisy, in addition to the removal of life counting (although I don't know if infinite life is really implemented like Super Mario Unlimited), and the removal of the scoring system. That's why this hack deserves my love and the hacker who did this deserves my respect.

Before I get to my minor gripes about this hack, I just wanna say it's very well done. The graphics are great and original, this could be applied to level hacks, or someone can use this hack as a base to make their own levels. My only small complaints about this hack is that when you're small the heads doesn't animate, and Bowser's feet don't animate. I hope the author can fix these, cause this hack is really cool, I enjoyed what I played. You did good, QUXNLADY. :D

SMB1 mods are a-dime-a-dozen. However, every once in a while one comes along that stands out from the rest. This is one of the stand out mods! The GFX have been carefully redone, the game physics slightly tweaked to account for the play-style of Peach and Daisy. The changes to other aspects of the games add to the over-all polish. I enjoyed this mod quite a bit and it is very well done! Thumbs up!
