Wario Land 2 - Remix

Wario land 2 remix is a complete new original set of 25 levels for Wario Land 2 taking you through the 5 standard chapters of the game.

Features
-25 brand new levels based on their original counter parts
-All 25 treasure rooms to find hidden in secret rooms
-New level graphics and some imported from other WL games
-A more difficult challenge for WL2 players but open for newcomers
-Find the location of secret exits as a side challenge! (But not accessible for now)

This has been worked on/off over the last few year, the remaining chapters may come at a later date.

An amazing hack that lives up the original	evmatter	2021-05-12	Version 1.0
As a long time fan of the Wario Land series, I've always loved the second one the most. Wario Land 2 has so many optional secret areas in the game that gave it lots of replayability and an exploration-like feel. So, having played the original so much, I had pretty high expectations for this hack. Once I started playing this hack, I could instantly tell that the maker was a fan of the game as well. All the elements from the original were there: the secret coin areas, treasure rooms, and boss fights. It felt like getting to play 25 new levels that could have been in the original game. The levels are overall harder than the original, which I think is great for people who are coming back to the game looking for a challenge. However, the challenges were not too hard and were just challenging enough for you to want to keep playing. Several of these challenges are unique to this hack and keep the experience fresh. Overall, this hack is absolutely fantastic and I can tell a lot of thought was put into it. Any fans of the original game will not be disappointed after playing it. If you're looking to relive the experience of playing the original Wario Land 2, there is no better way than playing this hack.

I like the hack for the duration of the first levels. However the 4th level was borderline impossible due to how tight the roll jump you have to do is (literally frame perfect, don't even bother using autofire on emulator). 5th level crashes and I think I know why. Other levels would also crash too for the same reason but my review can't be dedicated fully to bug reports. So I can't play the other 21 levels due to that. A shame really. Anyway as the headline shows, it's a promising hack that I'm looking forward to play to its full extent. I'd recommend just for the first 3 levels. EDIT: The 2nd part of my review no longer is relevant. It turns out I used a ROM of the game that does not match with the patch. It's a lesson for me and for other newcomers who didn't read the "ROM / ISO Information" section. The 4th level still has that hard section though.
