Hack description

F-Zero GP Legend had e-Reader support in Japan. Cards included bonus content such as new courses, challenge ghosts and machine unlocks. This mod incorporates all of the e-Reader content directly into the game. See the readme for more information.

All three versions of the game are supported.

This should be a no-brainer patch to anyone playing GP Legend. Why WOULDN'T you want all of the e-reader content in your game? I talked a bit with GuyPerfect, and eh did a lot of custom coding to allow all of the tracks to be stored. The original game only allowed you to store 5 e-reader cards at a time.

The courses themselves are a mixed bag, but there are enough gems to make it worth playing through all 20. My favorite was a Mute City course where 3/4 of the boost plates are pointed backwards, so it becomes a game of dodging the boosts rather than hitting them. The Illusion world also gets a few creative courses, including one shaped like a hand that you will not finish your first time.

Note that this patch is compatible with the Port Town music fix and my patch that adds 2 inaccessible courses to story mode, so combine all 3 for a definitive GP Legend experience.

The definitive F-Zero experience on GBASupergamerguy2021-08-17Version 1.0

This game was already a great F-Zero title, arguably the best one on the platform. With a dedicated story mode, great graphics, good music, and fluid controls, it's hard to imagine it could be made any better. But that's just what this hack does. By adding the E-reader features to the base GBA rom, this hack boosts GP Legend's replayability by a substantial amount and opens up a world of content (new tracks) that many players have never experienced before. I can't thank the author enough for making this possible. Great work!

A Must Have For Any F-Zero FanPsycho Fox2020-09-06Version 1.0

For the longest time, it seemed that the e-Reader+ content released for F-Zero Falcon Densetsu (GP Legend) was never to be seen in the west. Now, thanks to the tenacity of Guy Perfect we finally have a chance to play it all.

The patched ROM runs perfectly. After a few hours I have experienced no glitches or crashes.

With all the new content, it feels like a new F-Zero game.

Very highly recommended for anyone interested in the series or, indeed, old school racing games in general.

It's been a long wait but - at last - we've got Boost Power!

Works as intended, as it basically doubles the amount of tracks available to race in! My only lament is that the e+ Cup cannot be played in Grand Prix mode. Is it due to technical limitations, regarding the fact that it'd be four times longer than your average Bronze/Silver/Gold Cup?
