This patcher works with a variety of different images, including scrubbed images of the game. The original US version is just one of several compatible images.
This patch will undo the censorship that was applied to this game on its American release.
It consists of two patches that can be independently selected in the patch program:
- Vega Building Site Uncensor patch
In the official US version, during an important scene late in the game, the main character is tied to a metal block inside the Vega Building Site area. In the original Japanese version, he was instead tied to a cross. This patch fully restores that cross and updates the dialogue in that area accordingly.
- Chaotic Dance Uncensor patch
In the official US version, some of the original lyrics of the boss battle theme "Chaotic Dance 2" (like e.g. "Praise the Lord") have been changed to unrecognisable vocalisations, and the vocals were generally watered down. This patch restores the original Japanese version of this music track.
You can use this patch in conjunction with RyleFury's Undub patch and/or various translation patches. Apply this patch LAST. More details on compatibility available in the README file.
