Megaman IV (U) (PRG0) [!].nes - GOODNES 3.14Hack description
This is the first time Mike Vincent have tried to edit a game, and with zero programming skills it wasn't easy. But with some help from MegaFLE X and Matrix, he was able to anyway. There are some KNOWN bugs in this hack, because of limited knowledge of ASM, he wasn't able to fix everything.Screenshots

| Mega Man: Maverick Revenge - OKAY | Dobu_GM | 2024-01-29 | Version 1.0 |
Mega Man: Maverick Revenge Levels: Okay Graphics: Good Music: No Change (occasionally shuffled) Enemies: No Change Bosses: Eh (few room changes) Weapons: No Change Castle: Eh (Wily castle is BROKEN) Difficulty: EASY-MEDIUM Comments: While Maverick Revenge has a strong sense of aesthetics, it doesn't have an adequate handle on good gameplay. Enemies are often placed in non-threatening or boring positions, which is a strange contrast to some of the hack's more demanding platforming sections (like its 4-space-wide jumps and the spikes at the end of Cossack 3). Some levels are also way too short (Toad Man, Dive Man, Cossack 1), ending abruptly a little after the midstage checkpoint. Even though the visuals are good for the most part, the hack is riddled with graphical errors (Drill Bomb, Wily capsule, various enemies), none of which are game breaking but certainly make the project feel unrefined. Worst of all however, is that Maverick Revenge is flat-out unfinished, softlocking you at the end of an unmodified Wily 1. There's definitely some promise here—the stage design is occasionally clever—but the lack of a proper ending kills any kind of recommendation I could give.
| Mega Man (4): Maverick Revenge - This hack - could be good... | diablo666 | 2021-12-05 | Version 1.0 |
You know, graphically this hack is good (Except Doctor Kazak castle stage 1), I do not dispute. There are small graphical glitches, but this does not prevent you from playing... EXCEPT ONE... Wily castle - completely UNPLAYABLE... Because of the Metool Giant - Makes a strange jump, and THEN - it becomes indestructible... Playable 2/3 of the game, beautiful graphics, but a boss that breaks the game completely and makes the rest of the gameplay impassable... I can't recommend something that doesn't work correctly... I hope they fix this hack.
| Wily stages ? | Ness | 2009-08-15 | - |
Although a few level design choices and enemy placements are bad, it's an overall very good hack. The best stages are the Cosacks one (except the first one). I didn't have to resolve to savestates like Whipon, however I couldn't go past the Giant Metool either... Is there a way to do that or does the hack "end" there ?

I've enjoyed this hack, it was great, the graphic glitches doesn't have any importance, because the new graphics of the game are very beautifull. Its almost a new game, the places of the secret items have changed, there's some new enemies, so if you like Megaman you will have a very nice play time. The difficulty of the game is moderate, but in some places you will need to use save states. The only important glitch I found was on the first boss on the Dr. Willy base (the Giant Metool). Its invincible for some reason. So you can't proceed with the game. So its a great hack and a very well done job for being the first one.
