Hack description

This hack of Lotus II takes away everything related to the Lotus driving game and brings forward the hidden Mega Drive/Genesis version of P.O.D. Proof of Destruction game from deep within the game rom into the limelight. This hack makes P.O.D. (orignally a Commodore 64/128 game) available to play as if it was its own seperate stand-alone game.

What has been removed:
Everything involving and related to the Lotus II driving game.

What has been added:
Custom intros and a ported menu screen directly from the Commodore 64/128 version of the P.O.D. Proof of Destruction game, with alterations for Mega Drive/Genesis use.

The P.O.D. game itself has not been modified, so it emulates the same way it was programmed and made in the Lotus II game rom.

This hack has been tested and works with real Mega Drive/Genesis hardware.

This version of P.O.D. does not have music or backgrounds like the Commodore 64/128 versions have. It has a grand total of 99 levels. Once you reach level 99, you will be informed of a change of rules for the final level of the game. There is no way to win this level, and so you win by having fun and using up the last of your lives to increase your total score as much as you can before you run out of lives.

Extras include make-shift cover arts for the game, and a Kega Fusion emulator Save State saved right before you enter the last level of the game, with lots of lives.

This IPS patch was created specifically for the USA/Europe Lotus II game rom.
