⬇⬇ Advanced Updated Version 2.01: ⬇⬇

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

* New more recommendable title screen interface!
* Removed flash effect when Link dies, and other annoying flashes, to avoid some epilepsy!...
* Fixed some various bugs, and some small errors (like the elevator to avoid empty falls ...)
* New extra scenario in the Hammer's Cave!
* Some small changes/news in the Town (GFX, palettes and more...)
* Some GFX in the Palaces...
* Improvement of some graphics and color performances to make viewing in the world of Zelda II - End of Day!
* Fixed some animation graphics of the enemies, more "clean"!
* New Bubbles: (instead of 50 exp, but at 20-30 without too many annoying and non-regenerable shots!) Except Great Palace!
* Scorpion: instead of 150 Exp, but at 200!!
* New GFX in the Grand Palace (I forgot that, sorry...) and Enemy Dreadhawk at 100/150 instead of 70/100!!
* The important thing is that everything so far, is the good Zelda II - End of Day for you passionate; that will never let you down from start to finish... Except that little crash in the credits that unfortunately I still can't solve it... but I think it's not particularly important at the moment ... (plus a little surprise ...)

Very Satisfying Vintage Zelda 2!musashi332024-07-04Version 2.01

I just finished End of Day and fully recommend it for its innovative challenge! It's also a really good looking hack. I've always loved the desolate atmosphere of Zelda 2 and I feel like Skyflare really understood the aesthetic and created quite a rewarding, distinctly Zelda 2 experience! Just lots of fun and exploration without the somewhat masochistic experience of some other Zelda 2 hacks.

Was not impressed.somberlaindx2022-09-11Version 2.01

Not feeling this one.

The English is pretty poor.

Too many bridge battle screens, especially having to walk through the first one every game over just gets really annoying. You already need to backtrack.. this just adds insult to injury.

Harder versions of enemies give you the same exp. It's little unfair for the effort.

Some level layouts are pretty good but the rehashing of the forest maze annoyed me. The same for the trophy and hidden item under the table as well as Baggu's permission for the bridge use.

I'm sorry for lack of positive criticism. I wasn't really a fan. Thank you for putting in the effort of making this for us to play. I know it took time and effort on your behalf.

Great Hack - Highly Recommended!jcd94072021-12-16Version 2.01

The difficulty level is on par with the original game (which I would say is perfect), and the puzzles in the temples are satisfying when you figure them out. There are some more tricky spots like trying to duck-jump and knock out blocks over a lava pit which were tough, but very rewarding once you get the hang of it.

Absolutely worth a playthrough!

Very fun hack!Schicksal882021-05-03Version 2.01

  • The difficulty curve is pretty fair. Similar to the original, maybe even a little easier at the start, the end get's quite challenging but not impossible. Every time I died it felt like it was 100% my fault, very few cheap enemies that bop you into the lava.
    • The palaces are fun to figure out. I like the little hints about how to get to the keys.
    • The overworld has only a few hard to find secrets, but most are pretty straightforward. I had only 6 hearts at the end, but I'm sure I just didn't look around enough.

Played through it in a single sitting without savestates on console. I will play through it again to find the missing hearts, that's how fun it was. :)

Just the right amount of difficulty. Very well made hack!BertReynolds842021-03-24Version 1.0

I've downloaded a good number of Zelda 2 hacks, and most of them are too difficult. To put it into perspective, I've played/beaten the original Zelda 2 numerous times, and at this point, it's not that big of a challenge to beat the game, yet it's still very fun to play. But most of these new hacks are way too challenging, and it takes way too much time to level up and/or the enemies and puzzles are unnecessarily difficult. All-in-all, the difficulty takes away from the joy of the game.

Not so with this hack. Brand new overworld ensures there's plenty of roaming to do, but I never felt frustrated or that the game was cheating me. The levels have good designs as well and will challenge your ability to pay close attention to detail.

I had difficulty locating one of the items at the end of the game and received assistance from the creator of the hack, but that's the only thing that held me back from this perfectly balanced and fun edition. Completely recommend for all Zelda 2 fans.
