Could Be Cool... Maybe Give Some More Thought in the Level Design Next Timecacopholey2023-03-03Version 1.0

On a technical level, this hack is pretty decent. The Title Screen, Stage Select and especially the Selected Stage Animation all look pretty solid. The weapons are nothing insane, but solid (Bomb Man's weapon notably was pretty fun). I could very easily see a version of this hack that's my go-to recommendation for beginners. However, the level design... definitely could use some work.

Most of the stages suffer from feeling like they aren't really trying to DO much of anything, with so many rooms (and in some cases the entire stage) not feeling like they have much of a purpose other than to pad things out, which combined with the short stage length means most of the stages are uninteresting but inoffensive. The one that actually has somewhat of a solid concept, Ice Man... look I'm not gonna sugarcoat it, it's terrible. The 2 block spike jumps are unreasonably tight, to the point where I just decided to cut my losses and damage boost, and the long jump right after them feels so much harder than it needs to be. I really can't shake the feeling that it just wasn't playtested, it's such a dramatic difficulty spike in what's otherwise a very easy hack.

The same feeling also applies to the yoku block sections in Wily 1, with one really tight jump on the third screen, and if you fail, MM1's insanely high fall speed acceleration means you're basically guaranteed to die to the spike pit below even if you fell extremely close to a ladder. It's difficult, but doesn't feel like the creator WANTED it to be difficult. This same problem applies to the second yoku block section in the stage, which has a jump where you literally NEED to get shot up by the block vertically as it's spawning, otherwise you don't have the height to make the jump. The next 3 stages are fine except for some pretty annoying bugs (I thought I got softlocked on both Wily 3 and Wily 4 but I didn't lol), but overall I can't really recommend this hack, because its highs are pretty unnoteworthy and its lows are uh... pain.

I could definitely see this hack working, the level design just really needs some work.

Rockman (1) Classical - It is unique in its own way, but there are problemsdiablo6662021-12-09Version 1.0

This hack is unique in that it fixed a terrible problem THAT ALL HACKS ON THIS PART EXPERIENCE (AND the original one too) - Spike Bug. In this hack - when you damage the enemy's body - stepping on the spikes - you will not die instantly, but will die only when the temporary invulnerability from damage passes. THIS WAS EXPECTED BY MANY AND WAITED. This is a huge plus for this hack.

The second plus haсk - for changing enemies. Now they are killed as in other parts of the series. And now -t urbo shot - is considered the most useful invention than just a shot. (Previously - with the turbo button - the enemies were not killed in any way)

The third plus and in the aggregate and the fourth. AN INDICATOR OF LIVES, A CHANGE IN ABILITIES, or rather their functions

I know that there are more positive moments, but a TERRIBLE MINUS - I did not play for the benefit of the hack. ICEMAN LEVEL - The spikes are placed very unfairly. You must manage to jump through three gaps of spikes, and the saving distance is not enough. And even - not the fact that you can get into the rescue zone, because the jump is just almost equal to two spikes. And yet - at that level - a VERY Large Pit, which I could not pass even WITH SAVES. I'm sorry, even if it's difficult for me to pass this place by saving it, how will it be for others? THIS MINUS NEGATES THE EFFORTS OF THE CREATOR OF THE HACK. The author needs to correct the level, because I couldn't even pass half of it, which is a pity. This hack clearly has a HUGE potential... And obviously they tried to work on it... And it is a pity if someone really touches him - he will not be able to pass the same place because of the long distance of the PIT.
