Hack description

In Jim Power for the SNES, some levels have a parallax-scroll-effect that move in the wrong directions or with incorrect speeds for the background layers. This patch fixes that.

One patch is for the US version, the other for the PAL version.

If patching works, the checksum of the ROM should be correct.

Nice hack, but there is something to knowwabbajackw2024-01-14Version 1.0

This hack perfectly cancels the parralax scrolling effect on Jim Power - The Lost Dimension in 3D, but it's not really a bug fix. The parallax effect was intentional.

This game was intended to benefit from stereoscopic 3D based on the Pulfrich effect, this type of 3D required reversing the backward scrolling to create a depth effect by wearing a pair of 3D glasses provided with the game.

This hack is perfect for playing Jim Power - The Lost Dimension in "2D"

An absolute mustBruthkayo2023-03-12Version 1.0

I never wrote a review before now, simply to thank the author for the fix that this game needed. The hideous "3D" scroll that made everyone sick has now been fixed and this version is finally playable. I still think the completed Genesis version is better than the SNES version, but this romhack makes this version a contender. Thank you so much!

Broken for 28 years. Fixed at last.KesMonkey2021-10-07Version 1.0

I doubt there's anyone who has played Jim Power on the Super NES that didn't start to feel nauseous within minutes. This patch completely fixes the scrolling issues that ruined this game 28 years ago. Fantastic work by Svambo!
