Fantastic job! Also VERY receptive to feedback!Uberdubie2022-11-15Version 2.3.2

As others have said, this is the definitive way to play! Also it's certainly faster gameplay, but it feels just right now.

EDIT: My only problem with this (that I vastly preferred SF1 portraits in-game to these) has been addressed with SF1 options, and thus is no longer a problem! Hopefully others who have not recommended this hack for features that have since been added reflect that in their reviews. Thank you VERY much for taking the time to further improve this already-great hack!

It's a perfect upgrade!

One Step Away from PerfectionRokim212022-08-19Version 2.3.1

While the hud is amazing, mainly for the addition of a crosshair, I think it'd be for everyone's sake if there was a Non-Speed Enhancements version of the patch (with and without the aim reticle).

If you had offered a version without those, I'd be happy to say it's the PERFECT version of Star Fox 1, but until them, I can't recommend it for anybody except for the most hardcore of hardcore SF1 players out there, due to the speedup being more of a hassle than an improvement to the general gameplay.

Nice looks but are destroyed by the unnecesary gameplay speed upRaykusen2022-02-27Version 2.3.1

The extra stuffs are pretty cool, but oh boy, the absurd speed in this mod is unbearable. Is not worthy the hassle, if you are not a masochistic gamer like me that is.

This is THE definition of Starfox on SNES - Get it and Jam!Solgnar2022-02-14Version 2.0

This was already an amazing mod but now with the inclusion of fastROM as of v2 this is THE one to play.

All the qualities of the original with just enough upgrades to give this a fresh look/feel

For those who are on the fence about the additional fps provided by 21mhz/fastROM, I encourage you to keep just playing, you will adjust. As a long time player of SF - Ive gone from getting rocked bad on fastROM to being able to consistently beat the game again as before. Except now it is way more challenging and wayyy more enjoyable

Confirmed working smooth on actual hardware (SD2SNES/1CHIP SNES Mobo)

Love the option of with/without reticle - thats a nice touch OG no reticle ftw

Going to be running laps in this one fer dais https://www.twitch.tv/solgnar/

Cannot recommend enough - the future is now!

Definitive version of SF for me!YuriFerro2022-01-05Version 1.4

Kandowontu has done an amazing job with his newest SF hacks. 21MHz is fast enough to have a better experience with this beloved classic; anything above this speed, like the FASTROM version, seems unnecessary tome. But, as some have said, a very close experience was still possible with overclocking. So, i think SF needed some small aesthetical touches, and this hack does it pretty well! The 64 HUD, along with the SF2 portraits, gives a better appearance to SF. Maybe some small things could still be done, like giving different colours to the others ships (i think i saw something like that on youtube). In any case, there is not much else to improve on SF, so this is the way to go! ~~
