Hack description

This is a full graphics hack that revamps Mario Bros. (Classic Serie) with a Metroid aesthetic. It was produced in celebration of Metroid's 35th anniversary. Many elements were either created or heavily edited specifically for this hack. The player characters, for example, are completely redrawn. There's also a new title screen and several text modifications to better fit the theme.

Play as the giant* thorned lizard, Kraid! In two-player mode, the second character is Fake Kraid. *Not actually giant.

-Slipice: Viola
-Fireball: Kraid Spike
-Icicle: Skree

Statues will drop Bombs when creatures are destroyed. Get bonus points when you take them.

Play as Ridley, Samus' archnemesis, lord of Norfair. Player 2 controls the unused Fake Ridley.

Space Jump tanks are delivered via television after you defeat enemies. Seize them for more points.

Please note that this hack is for the special edition Mario Bros. (Classic Serie) from 1993 that was only released in Europe. For this reason, the game will only run at the correct speed on PAL systems.
FCEUX will play in PAL automatically if '(Europe)' is in the file name.
For an added challenge, play on a non-PAL system. But beware, everything will be a little faster!
