Hack description

This is a complete improvement over the original game. Large sections of text have been changed to alter the story and add some new twists. All monsters are available in the game without the involvement of modification or using dated methods to transfer data between save files. Now, all you have to do is sit back and enjoy the game.. and actually catch all of them.. for real this time.

UPDATE v1.1.1

Objectives:
Modify Pokémon Yellow to include all monsters obtainable without trading.
Subtle gameplay improvements to enhance player experience faithful to the original story.

Features:

What Pokémon Should Always Have BeenMother Kojiro2021-12-20Version N/A

The first generation of Pokémon is still one of my all-time favorite JRPGs, even though I've played tons of them, but it has a lot of annoying quirks, possibly the worst of which being that one game was unnecessarily split into two. Thunder Yellow cuts the crap; you want to catch 'em all? Go ahead; they're all here, even Mew, and you don't have any stuck with some goofy nickname that you can't change. Not really much else to say; if you've always wanted a self-sustained Pokémon experience, this is an excellent choice!

Needs Work.Dudester222014-10-29-

(v1.1.1) I'm pumped to start playing this, but I can see that it still needs some work to be definitively separate from the real version. This isn't only a review, I have loads of suggestions.

"Wild locations modified and improved" Yet the safari zone is practically the same.. I want to see monsters like Scyther, Tauros, Pinsir, Exeggcute, Chansey, Dratini, and Khangashkhan OUTSIDE of the safari zone. I can't stress this enough. Put Rattatta's and that sort in that safari bin where nobody wants to traverse.

Also seeing Pidgey's immediately outside of Pallette Town was a bummer.. Not good for first impressions.

Running into some water pokemon on land would be neat, same with some mixed up fishing catches.

Really looking forward to catching wild Eevee's too... good job on that.

I really look forward to playing this, but not until it's a dramatic change from the original version. Keep it up, and you have my support.

A great hack, if you can get it workingbsz2011-01-02-

I think the idea is great, being to catch all Pokemon in one game really helps save time with trading between games for those hardcore gamers, and no longer shall your favorite one (first gen, of course) be left out. However, there are some Pokemon that just do not appear no matter how hard you try, such as Jigglypuff, but I'm only on the first badge so it could be in the water

Now the patcher is especially weird, and I can't help but point it out. It takes a loong time for one to figure out that you have to keep it in a zip folder for it to notice the ROM and patch it. BUT it instantly corrupts any zip folder, so you are in some deep trouble... So on windows all you can do is make a briefcase and put the ROM in there, direct the patcher there, and you've got a patched ROM.

Overall this is a Pokemon fan's dream come true but some Pokemon might make you want to rip your hair out as you try to find them.
