As a fan of both Sacred Stones and Touhou, it's been a lot of fun to revisit the game with new characters to try out. I enjoy the way the classes and abilities are divided between characters. The sprite changes are welcomed and open the doors for a lot of potentially cool ideas (Reimu looks great). The portraits look unfinished but it's nice to see a FE hack without recolored lords for a change. The main issue I found was with the balance. The "increased difficulty" is more like a difficulty spike. It's barely noticeable on regular enemies and it comes out of nowhere in one chapter when you suddenly have to deal with never ending cavalier reinforcements. Some of your units (mostly Alice and Suika) are also way too strong, even for Sacred Stones standards, and can easily reach level 15 in a couple of chapters. Reisen is unable to attack at all but that might just be a bug. Despite that, as it is, it's worth checking out, if not just for the novelty of being able to use Touhou characters in a Fire Emblem game. | |||
