Hack description

Short and sweet. I think HoD is Technicolor enough without the glowing
outlines on Juste, Maxim, and the bat enemies. So I removed them.

Nothing else has been altered.

Thank you for thisCRT_rex2021-11-04Version 1.1

In this day and age, with so many outstanding and affordable backlight kits for the GBA available, the backlit GBA SP, the DS or Game Boy Macro mod, along with the possibility of playing on the GameCube's Game Boy Player using the amazing GBI software to amazing results, the glow is largely a relic of the past that even back then should have been optional. It may have served its purpose to some back then, but it's downright ugly, in my opinion.

When I play a game for the first time I don't normally use any hacks, saving those for the later replay value, but in this case I will be using this hack right from the get-go, as I dislike the glow thing. I tested it and it looks great. Thank you for making such a simple, but much welcomed fix for this problem.

No more Saiyan Juste!ShadowOne3332016-06-06Version 1.1

This was one of the major issues I had with HoD. The glow around the character made the sprite look ugly and too much of an attention magnet.

I highly recommend this hack for someone who wants to experience this Castlevania!

Great hackMathUser29292016-06-04Version 1.1

This is a simple hack, but it does what it sets out to do. Gets rid of that outline that is unnecessary on systems other than the original GBA. That shoulda been togglable somehow or maybe only switched on when the cartridge was inserted in the original GBA. I love hacks that improve on the original games to fix glaring flaws. Highly recommended.

The setting Konami should've put in.Chronosplit2016-06-03Version 1.1

I get that this weird glowing effect was made due to the original GBA's screen, but it's rather bad looking and on another platform looks even worse.

Thank goodness for this hack. By this time one wonders why Konami didn't make this outline an optional item for those who could see the character without it.
