The hack name and description are misleading and false. "Restoring" something implides it was meant to be there in the first place, which was never the case here. This "Birdetta" thing was only mentioned once in the US manual in 1988, and never mentioned again. It was NOT in the japanese manual. So it is not canon, and it was never meant to be referenced in game. That's why this is not a "restoration" but rather a useless and gratuitous change that should be ignored. | |||

For those who prefer to call her by Birdetta, this is a nice hack, that takes a kind gesture to be more considerate of her gender, even if the Birdetta name was only used once in the SMB2 NES manual. Nintendo hasn't always been the best towards characters like her, and as a fan of Birdetta, this makes me smile. | |||
