Full disclaimer, I absolutely love the art of FF Tactics, in my opinion one of the most beautiful games ever made as far as art style, so I went in knowing it almost certainly wasn't for me. And its not. The character portraits have a nice stylized quality that this hack, imho, ruins. The noses are bulbous cartoony noses that look like something more in line with the Simpsons, and messes up the aesthetic, as far as I am concerned. Obviously the creator felt differently, and I'm sure there are others that this will please as well. I'm not saying its bad, but it is not one that I would ever use, nor, I think, will most fans of the games art. I'm sure the time and skill used to make the hack was more than I possess, so I am not dissing the author, just pointing out that I think many folks will find it to be a visual downgrade. | |||
