Reviews

I don't even play Among Us, but I love trolling my kids with this hackPixelCherryNinja2022-09-26Version 2.0

This is hilarious, my kids love among us, so I showed them this hack, and they genuinely believe this is an Among Us game (apart from the eldest, who said it looks like the game you play on your DS). Definitely worth a look.

Peculiar concept, but poor execution.Che33set1cksInWallachi42022-09-26Version 2.0

I went in to play this hack expecting to have a silly time playing as the crewmate, but what I got was a nonsense move-set, baffling music choices, and poor use of the characters Julius Mode provides.

Yoko and Alucard could've been replaced by other crewmates, with different sub-weapons and attacks to spice up the hack even more, but seeing the creator's other "quick and dirty" hacks that doesn't seem like a possibility.

Most bosses were kind of manageable, even with the crewmate's bigger collision. But the Evil Soma boss battle was just straight up awful, the dragon's collision seemed way too big and Soma just instantly teleporting got obnoxious to deal with, really not a good way to modify that boss, makes it feel too "ROM hacky."

Overall, not a really good hack that could use more polish, just like every other hack from this creator...

A ROM Hack That's Rather... "Sus"Josephine Lithius2022-09-25Version 2.0

Note: The headline of this review is just a joke. The hack, itself, is perfectly fine.

Oersted, the person who made, this should be ashamed of themselves for making a "meme hack". It's right up there with all those "Bowsette" hacks, in my opinion.

Judgment aside, it's another decent character swap hack for Dawn complete with custom title graphics, modified sound effects and weapons, some new and imported music from various sources, and of course, a completely new character to replace Julius. Even if it is a "meme hack", a lot of work has been done to make sure it's interesting and fun.

My only legitimate complaint is that the Crewmate sprite, while very nice to look at, is very large in comparison to the other player characters. This is kind of a common thing with these character swap hacks, though, either due to a lack of interest in finding / making better sprites, or a lack of sprites themselves.

B+ for effort, A- for content. Not my cup of tea, but I still think some folks would enjoy it.
