I really would like to recommend but..JulianoFdeS2023-05-07Version 1.2

Ok, so it's my break day after a week of hard, stressful job and I decided to pick a Mario Hack game just to have some fun, and as a Brazilian, I liked the concept of this one and give a chance to see the potential.

The very first two levels was fun and make me laugh a lot, the save point music was fun as well, but after this the game is just.. frustrating.

Let's talk about Mario itself, he can't spin anymore like in OG game, so you become more vulnerable to some enemies, it wouldn't be a problem itself if it wasn't by the fact there's too few PowerUps on each level, the cape doens't spin attack and make you just fall slower, the new enemies are just annoying, they are most invencible and you can't say at all if there's an attack incoming because the times between them if very random and there's no animation at all before they attack you, so it's all about luck, not skill at all.

Mario is very underpowered in this game, almost no monster to jump in, you have just to dodge everything and this is boring, doesn't feel anything like the vanilla game, and I know hacks intend to be very different of the game itself, but this is not hard because it's more challenging and you learn through the difficult curve, it's more difficult just because the level design sucks, feels more like bad NES platform game with better graphics. I ended up more stressed than I was before play.

The music also have some higher pitch than others, I had to increase/decrease my volume to adjust for some levels.

If the author of this game intended to make a hard game, well done. Next time try to get inspiration of Super Mario Bros 2. Lost Levels instead of Kaizo Hacks design.

As a Brazilian, loved the contents of the hack, although not every state is represented, you have at least 1 to 3 stages of each region.

The depiction of the regions are very accurate, as much as you can do with 16-bits, without running away too much from a Mario universe. Basically this romhack represents the country in a way that Mario is Missing can only ever dream of achieving.

I hope the author feels motivated enough to do a sequel or a 2.0 version with at least one stage of each state of Brazil, so we could have at least 27 stages.
