Hack description

Over 22 years ago, the original Super Mario Bros. 2 - Christmas Edition was created and released by BMF54123, designed to be a complete graphical overhaul of the classic game you know and love! This patch aims to serve as a minor update to spread even more Christmas cheer to areas of the game that remained untouched, and make things a bit more...slippery...as you traverse the wintry world of Subcon!

Changes from the original Christmas Edition:
*New Christmas themed colors added throughout (and modified in places)
*Swapped Princess and Toad's primary outfit color
*Ice physics are now applied to all surfaces (can be removed via optional patch)
*You start the game with 5 lives and unlimited continues (similar to All-Stars)
*Includes fixes for the Autobomb glitch and charge jumping while holding an item/enemy
*Optional patch included to reselect character on death

I love the aesthetics of the game works well with SM2. It's always awesome to play Christmas carts any time, but, especially during the holiday season. Well worth the download. So many hacks are poor attempts to change a game - this enhances the magic.

Slippery Goodness for All	Rohbert	2022-12-20	Version 1.0
This is Super Mario Bros 2 with Christmas graphics and ice physics applied to all surfaces. The levels are unchanged, but the challenge is increased tremendously. But in a hilarious way. Slipping and sliding all over Subcon has never been this fun! Kudos to anyone who can defeat Wart with ice physics. He is a doozy. Highly recommended for SMB2 fans!

I played this hack up to World 2-2 and I'm really enjoying it, from the slippery physics to the graphic & palette changes, this update feels official with the new enhancements. I haven't tested this update with the level only hacks, but my best guest it should be compatible. I like it, so give it a try to have some Christmas Cheers. Feliz Navidad! ^_^
