Great hack and well needed but the ammo and first aid is a bit hard to see, I think moving those to the top left of the screen with the black back ground connecting to each other would make it easier to see and look way less cluttered

Back in the 16-bit days, most games were developed for the Genesis and ported to the SNES, sometimes it was the opposite, but in this particular case, I always felt the developers added the right black bar to keep the game's original aspect ratio, while again, the SNES game features stretched assets due to its lower horizontal resolution. With this patch it's now possible to play it in full widescreen, it's a much better experience and alongside with other widescreen patches around, it's something to cherish for.

While it is a bit jarring to see bits of the border left over on some HUD elements, this patch succeeds in creating a bigger area of view to help from getting blindsided by monsters.

It is also compatible with other patches. Phenomenal work! I look forward to seeing more Wide Mode patches in the future.
