Hack description

You are a new trainer who sets out on a journey to help Professor Oak with researching Pokemon, very much like the very first games. This story is built on the foundation that was pulled from the Spaceworld 97 demo itself, and has you traverse Nihon, based on the entirety of Japan, while you collect badges and never-before-seen Pokemon.

You'll also have to face off against Team Rocket, who are building a machine that would give them incredible power over Pokemon!

Travel a fully-realized version of the map pulled from the demo, in addition to many new and original locations!

Game is fully compatible with the original Game Boy system, Game Boy Color, and Super Game Boy!

Once upon a time, in a divergent timeline...Red Soul2023-02-19Version 7.31

What if you could warp back to 1997 and experience the Johto journey that never was?

The second Pokémon generation had many many differences when you compare the now rather fabled 1997 Spaceworld demo to the final, including many cut and changed Pokémon, art, dialogue, town and overworld map layouts, events... the list goes on.

It's almost like after Kanto there was a temporal divergence of some sort wherein two Johtos, similar, but very different, exist in tandem, where both the familiar and the new coexist.

As someone that has a severe franchise fatigue with Pokémon since Generation 7 (the last I bothered to play to the finish and actually enjoyed was Generation 6, X and Y), this hack came to me as an immense surprise that revitalized the sense of the new while also being nostalgic.

This hack is lovingly crafted and deserves the be played and celebrated. If you love Johto and want to see it in a new, curious light, you can't go wrong with this hack.
