This is as described, you play as Dixie and Diddy Kong instead of Donkey and Diddy Kong in DKC1. I feel this isn't a complete experience though.

The title screen, which is visible if you wait through the intro cutscene, doesn't have the hack title in it and doesn't have Dixie Kong on the graphic. I am willing to admit that I don't know much about DKC hacking to know if adding something like that is that complicated or not.

I love the fact you can use Dixie Kong's hair spin move to float down or to skip barrels making some difficult stages easier. I wish you could use the team up ability too, but again I don't know if that's even possible.

The file select and save screens still have DK's head graphic and the life counter has no graphic. I also noticed, not a complaint just an observation, that Dixie is able to take out enemies DK normally only can. Again it's not an issue- it's actually cool to see.

I will be looking forward for more updates if this isn't the final version.

I'd love to see a similar hack for DKC3, but replace Kiddy with DK.

Absolutely amazing, it's not just a sprite swap but brings her physics over too. Literally my only problem with it is that now you have Donkey Kong with zero actual Donkey Kong in it! That said, super cool!
