This patch is a modified version of Linkuei's Enhanced Colors. Linkuei did an amazing job changing the color palette to look more like the arcade version of the game. Linkuei's color palette has a colorful bright look that is slightly "washed out". This patch keeps the colorful image without the "washed out" look. The black levels were adjusted to a true black instead of the shade of gray Linkuei used. The screenshots illustrate the difference (look at the black areas). The changes are highly subjective as you might like one more than the other depending on the display you are using. It is recommended you check out Linkuei's Enhanced Colors patch and try both.Screenshots

Dauntless Sunsent Riders color hack does look a lot sharper than Linkuei's version, but my issues with this version is that the controller input lag feels slightly worse. I recommend the hack, but I personally prefer my games with the least amount of input lag as possible. | |||
