This game has aged like fine vine, what i like:

• Lots of colors, updating some childhood memories;
• Health bar has different colors depending on the character; (Pink for Kirby, orange for Rick, purple for Coo and blue for Kine, that is such a nice detail
• Sparky enemy is pinkish red instead of green as a reference to the box art of the game featuring a red sparky;
• Rainbow sword.

Kirby's Dream Land 2 already looked good with Super Game Boy enhancement, but this takes it to the next level! Everything is now in stunning, vibrant color from beginning to end, just as it says, and the choice of colors is striking. Skies are the most brilliant blue, Kirby and Bronto Burt are the perfect shade of pink, and the rainbow drops are each their own specific color. My personal favorite areas are the miniboss room at the beginning of Iceberg 4, and basically all of Red Canyon, even the stage select screen. Better yet are the rainbow effects; I don't know how they did it, but they cycle through a wide array of colors that makes the final battle something very special. If you like the original game, this just makes it even better!

Bringing color to this beloved Gameboy game is like bringing the feeling of magic back to Christmas as an adult.

Even better than the color I imagined it to have. This is one I am going to write to a cartridge and play on my GBC next time I travel.

kkzero has done an absolutely incredible job here. Clearly a lot of thought went into the palette selections, and as a result the game is incredibly immersive. The colorful backgrounds and buttery-smooth gameplay feel right at home to someone who grew up playing The Amazing Mirror.

This hack comes strongly recommended to all Kirby fans.

It is fantastic for what it does, but until it includes the Super Game Boy-specific audio effects (A feature the dev himself says in the readme may never happen), there is still a reason - albeit completely supplemental - to keep a copy of the original, unaltered version around.

There's no harm in having both!

A childhood dream has finally come true, the classic game "Kirby's Dream Land 2", in full color!. The game has never looked and played better than this, and I thank the creator for his passion and hard work when putting this together.

Thank you so much to kkzero for bringing Rick, Coo, and Kine to life on the Game Boy! The art on display here feels right at home on the Game Boy Color. Environments are bright and full of little details here and there, enemies are well-shaded in their new color palettes, and the main characters make a big (color) splash in their new adventure. I couldn't have asked for more. This replaces the original Game Boy version in every way.

Playing on my Gameboy Color, It feels exactly like how it should have been and feels like an official port. Everything is vibrant with color, and it feels like a Kirby Game. It's a real upgrade to from the Gameboy Color's automatic color palette for KDL2DX, to an actual color hack.

When I saw Kirby's Dream Land 2 had been colorized, I just had to check it out, and I was not disappointed. Like so many other great colorization hacks to be reported on RomHacking.net as of late, this one is a smorgasbord of new life into an old classic. Genuinely beautiful to look at, with rich color selections. The Rainbow Drops come in different colors, the Rainbow Sword is, well, maybe you'll have to see for yourself! This modification was done by someone who clearly understood how important colors were to Kirby's Dream Land 2.

That being said, I did notice some errors. There were very few glitched graphics and incidents where color looked unfinished: Dancing with Coo after defeating one of the bosses came to mind, as well as victory poses with Rick after bonus games were completed "Perfect". The biggest error I encountered, however, was when attempting the 100% the game in a single sitting (you can, as the mandatory ending before picking up all Rainbow Drops takes you straight back to the title screen). After defeating the true final boss, after the first named credit, the game froze up with a black screen. Resetting the game let me bypass this.

All in all, this is a grand way to experience this unforgettable game. Nintendo gave us this game on the Nintendo Switch Online service, but woefully, the company that originally produced this game, couldn't compete with free once again. They couldn't even deliver a Super Game Boy experience. No, my friends, this mod is the definitive way to enjoy this game to its fullest!

This colorization is extremely well done. Was also pleased to see that my battery save from the old monochrome version of the game carried over to the DX version just fine. Highly recommended!

It blows my mind how much the hacking community can truly transform a classic game into something so much more. This is an awesome colorization hack that includes much more than just a colorization. But, the colorization was handled amazingly. The game is beautiful now and is set to stand the test of time. Definitely add this one to your collection!

After playing this, going back to the original game is frikkin impossible. I've waited a long, long time for this. The colors are just so beautiful. It's like the jump from black & white TV to colored TV all over again. Pretty big deal. The creator of this hack totally deserves payment ...or a really amazing dessert.

I've been waiting a long time for this hack, and I'm glad it's finally available! I feel like it could still use a few quality of life features like being able to fly by pressing A in midair, or not losing your copy ability every time you get hit like later Kirby games.

Other than that, this is so great!

I played the original Kirby' Dreamland a couple years ago, but really wanted this game in color. This hack has made an already great game even better. There is no reason to play the original any more. The color choices are amazing. Get the game now it is that good.
