This makes the game looks great, with just the gameboy color and super gameboy pallet. It greatly fits the game mood
| Finally somebody tried to colorize this.* | SkyLizardGirl | 2023-05-17 | Version 1.0 |
This is a good colorization hack. It plays pretty well and some things look good colored the way they are already in this version. I think this colorization needs to either go further in its development or be handed off to another person to fully complete it's colorization by 100% They should take notes from all the colors applied to certain things/objects within this one for a later DX update. This version however is excellent work.*
| Looks great! | Nintenja | 2023-05-13 | Version 1.0 |
Not sure on the details exactly how this was made but it looks good to me. Everything seems to play well and this is a big improvement on the original for sure. I'm not sure it needs any further colonization at this point as this in my opinion did a good job. Good work.

This is such a novel and creative approach to colorization. Instead of adding actual Game Boy Color support to the Game Boy game (which obviously would look better, but also would be a massive undertaking), the author has selected a very suitable preset palette, which the Game Boy Color boot ROM uses when automatically colorizing Game Boy games. This only allows for one palette for the background, and two palettes for sprites, so it's not too colorful, but the chosen palette works so well with this game that it gives me Super Game Boy vibes. Note that the author must also have made changes to the code to apply the most suitable sprite palette to different enemy sprites, so it's not simply a matter of selecting a preset palette - I'm sure quite a bit of work went into this even though it's not a full colorization.
