Hack description

This game has a problem. A movement problem. Maps are big, and there's a lot of ground to cover. Units with low movement are often inherently bad as a result. This hack exists to solve that issue, and curb the countless other imbalances in Fire Emblem 4's design.

If you've never been able to fully enjoy this game before, Genealogy of the Holy Perambulation may be just what you need.

Features:

- Units who travel on foot have higher movement (between 7-9) to keep up with their mounted allies.

- Player Units are rebalanced so that everyone has something to offer to the army.

- Weapon stats have been changed.

- Maps have received layout changes to improve pace and eliminate frustratingly dense terrain.

- Enemy stats, placements, and inventories are modified to make the game far more challenging. You will find it much more difficult to solo the game with Sigurd now!

- Built off of the JP original to ensure compatibility with any translation patch!

A shame reallySil512023-11-02Version 4.1

I tried to like this, I really did but I had to put it down after chapter 4 bugging out on me the 3rd time. Even without the bugs I can't really say I enjoyed the first 3 chapters+the prologue, the romhack was advertised as a rebalance hack but quickly turns into a challenge hack with nearly every enemy equipped with a stat booster ring while also getting a movespeed bonus. Lances felt like trash here, erin finn and quan felt borderline useless the entire time I tried to use them, The brave lance weighing more than the brave axe while hitting for the same damage was terrible and made me regret even trying to train finn (can't imagine the nightmare chapter 7 would be with him). The magic changes where good, fire weighing 6 made azel not only playable but made him feel like one of the best bosskillers in your army which you'll need because everyone and their mother either has a shield ring or a defense sword equipped. Swords weighing more was also fine, Sigurd feels more down to earth now and is merely a demi-god instead of jesus on wheels but can still be op if you stack all the rings on him. There is good here but the bad outweighs the good and ends up not feeling that fun to play.
