Just tried this because I was really excited to see a hack of this game. And I love how they mix in a semi-nonsensical story that is completely pointless with a good mix of new mixed up enemies. There are a few surprises there that almost seem like glitches but add to the surprise of it all.

I guess I would say that my only gripe is the palette changes. They do make it feel a little differently, but I think some of those changes made the graphics look a little blotchy (specifically the weapons that some of the enemies drop).

Funnies part was in the (former?) 4th Mission, where the guys jump down the elevator shaft to get you right before the end of the level.

This is really fun, but it is definitely less forgiving than the 'riginal game. I made it to (what I think is) the last level, near the very end, but a few early bouts of confusion resulted in my inevitable demise.

It will be a goal for me to actually beat this!
