Hack description

This hack adds the run feature of the US Earth Bound prototype to the Japanese version "Mother". It is implemented in the exact same way, so all the quirks of the feature in the US prototype apply here too.

The "State" menu was remapped to the Select button, as in the US prototype.

An Absolute GodsendTheBlueBouquet2023-09-25Version 1.0

Without any form of being able to sprint in the vanilla version of the game, it was nearly impossible to want to keep going to see the rest of it. This definitely helps out in many large or maze-like areas where it's incredibly easy to get lost and makes it about as enjoyable as the English prototype version/EB Zero.

Works as advertisedSucrose12023-09-01Version 1.0

Finally we can have the B-button run function in Mother for Famicom. Also, thank you for referring to the USA version as "US Earth Bound prototype" instead of "EarthBound Zero".
