Excellent improvements!Red Soul2023-09-18Version 1.0

While I never cared for AoF in particular (not even the Neo Geo original), the Mega Drive port was made very competently; so competently, in fact, that it inherited much of the same clunkiness of its Neo Geo originator.

Because of the requirement of keeping the spirit gauge up, the vanilla gameplay is irritatingly very stop and go, and the bonus stages, while novel and adding an interesting sense of progression to the one player mode, can actively hamper the player heavily in the event of failure.

What this patch does is improve the experience greatly by lessening some of the irritating design choices and overall polishing up the experience by making both the fighting and the bonus stages function in a much smoother way.

This surely and definitively replaces the vanilla game as the optimal experience, so if you are an AoF fan, grab it pronto!
