Hack description

This patch is designed to introduce dynamic enemy placement in Streets of Rage 2 for the Sega Genesis.

*How it Works:
As you play, the internal difficulty counter is randomized and will introduce enemies from Very Easy all the way to Mania difficulties with various speeds, health bars and aggression. No playthrough will ever be identical!

Patching instructions can be found in the readme.

A fresh take on a cult classicRed Soul2023-11-06Version 1.0

We've all been there, raging in the street, punching, piledriving, grand-uppering punks on the lavish 2D cityscapes of this classic, fueled by energetic, melodic tunes by master Yuzo, haven't we? well most of us have, anyway.

Having the shiny cart, rush renting and trying to finish it before the allowed period is over... no matter how you may have experienced it, Streets of Rage 2 is an indelible classic, and a symbol of times long gone, when Sega was something worth cherishing.

However... with familiarity sometimes comes boredom, and a yearning for both the familiar and the different in the same experience.

Billytime Games may not be the Fairy Godmother, but he delivers again!

This patch creates enemy encounters with randomized difficulty levels based on the spectrums the game can offer, shaking up the experience considerably, making well beaten paths into something new and fresh again, and maybe, just maybe, making tricky parts easy for a change; all up to the roll of the dice.

Heck, play this with one life and you could even call it a SoR2 roguelike.

Massively recommended.
