Finally, Tetris GB in color. This hack is able to really bring some new life into Tetris and I love it. It looks fantastic and it works like a dream. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to play Tetris. The only gripe about the hack has already been said many times, but I'll repeat it here: no Rosy Retrospection support. Hopefully the creator can include something like this, but hey, at least we've got something! EDIT: Tetris Rosy Retrospection DX released, so while the problem is still technically apparent, the creator also has a patch for Ospin's hack as well. Would be nice if there were a few more colors in the menu, though.

Tetris for the Gameboy is the reason got an initial dominant foothold in the portable console market early on. Colorizing it seemed the obvious choice and good choices were made with colors. Hopefully creeper will be able to make the same available to Rosy Retrospection
| ALMOST all I ever wanted from GB Tetris | lordelan | 2023-11-20 | Version 1.0 |
My heart skipped a bit when I saw this because ever since I was hoping for a colorization hack of "Tetris - Rosy Retrospection" what I consider to be the best handheld Tetris version ever (even better than the amazing Apotris thanks to nostalgia and the music). Then I realised this is "only" for the vanilla Tetris version, to which I personally can't go back to after having played Rosy. That being said, we've never been closer to "Rosy Retrospection DX" and if anyone could pull it off, then it would be this dev here. However this is a review for a vanilla "Tetris DX" so I'll review just that and I gotta say: The colors are almost EXACTLY like I always would have wished a colorized GB Tetris version would look like. They are popping and appealing and make this so much more beautiful. Maybe in a future version (or even better, when the dev takes on Rosy) multiple different "skins" or color palettes can be included. GB Tetris is only getting better and better and I love it.
