Hack description

This is a simple patch for Dragon Warrior that reduces some of the flashing effects found in the game. The hack aims to help those sensitive to flashing effects experience the game.
There are two flashing effects that have been removed by this patch.
* The enemy sprites no longer flash when the player causes damage to the enemy.
* The full screen no longer flashes red from stepping on a poison swamp tile in the overworld.
* The flashing black and white screen when casting spells.

A much-appreciated adjustment to a great game.FrigginNeato2023-12-21Version 1.0

As someone who's severely photosensitive, I'm always appreciative whenever a hacker takes a minute to reduce that effect in order to make games safer to play.

Dragon Warrior was my first official foray into playing video games, and also the flag that indicated that I was prone to migraines and seizures due to flashing lights and repetitive patterns. Of course, I played it later as an adult with some precautions, but the experience still gave me anxiety because those triggers were present.

Hacks like this give people who wouldn't otherwise be able to play games with flashing effects a chance to experience them without worry.

Thank you for this hack!
