Lufia II - Rise of the Sinistrals (USA).sfc - NOINTROHack description
Basically this makes the game so much easier. Now you'll be able to play this great game without having to worry about grinding out level after level and thus you waste no time. I made this for me primarily but I'm sure someone else would get some use out of it.Screenshots

| lazily designed and just doesn't feel organic | Artemis | 2018-12-27 | Version 1.0 BETA |
I don't see anything wrong with making a game easier, but the execution just is way too sloppy. First, why are only the starting monsters modified? How about instead of giving us that ridicolous starting boost, actually balancing the exp, gold and drops of ALL the enemies in a proper way so that there's still a reasonable reward relation all over the game? This just feels lazy. If it only was that, I'd consider it 'meh' at worst... However, whereas I might overlook the former, I just cannot ignore the change of the starting equipment which just is so wrong. So you get equipped with stuff just for being stronger for the sake of it? You even cannot reequip certain gear after choosing something else to equip? This creates quite some unnecessary artificial difficulty as it may prevent players from trying out new items and moves out of fear that you cannot get back to your default state. Seriously, if you feel like giving us some broken endgame equipment right at the start, why not at least give us stuff we can also can perfectly use without that stupid drawback? Besides, what about changing the other characters' equipment? Overall, there were just way too less thoughts flowed inside this patch. Being easy for the sake of being easy just isn't enough. A good easy mode should also feel organic. This patch, however, for certain does not!
| Enjoy the Story | Dakmordian | 2018-12-09 | Version 1.0 BETA |
This probably feels like overkill for a lot of people, and to be honest I can understand why. However, there's been plenty of times where I wanna go through (or more likely -back- through) an RPG just to enjoy the story and find the battles just sorta get in the way. Being able to shrug off any battle and just focus on the characters and their journey is actually pretty nice. There are a number of RPGs out there I'd love to see Easy Mode patches for, and while Lufia 2 wasn't necessarily one of them I can certainly appreciate it. That being said, if I had been the one doing it I'd have probably just decreased the overall health and/or stats of enemies or merely doubled EXP/Gold from enemies. If the author ever considers revisiting this, that'd be a good option for those that don't want quite as much overkill but still wanna take the easy road.
| This is ridiculous! | Animebryan | 2018-11-29 | Version 1.0 BETA |
This is ridiculous! Lufia 2 was easy enough in its own right, so much so that people felt the need to make Hard Mode hacks or at least do a Low Level playthrough! This is just being lazy & taking away what little challenge the game already provided.
