Anyone that remembers playing Arcana as a kid will probably remember that the game could get grueling at times in its difficulty. It is certainly a beatable game (I beat it a long time back), but it does tend to try even one with a lot of patience. Especially when you have made it deep within a dungeon and a single character dies and you than have to start back from the last save point. Well, this hack is very simple in nature but does make the game a much easier experience. As stated in the "readme" file, what is changed is all characters HP and MP are set to 999. As well, all stats are set to 99. Of course, you still have to play for money and gaining levels is still a must for learning new spells, but more than likely you won't get yourself slaughtered in the process now. Of course, this is simply an "easy type" hack and those that want more of a challenge should stick to the original North American release. Frankly, I wouldn't mind a "hard type" to check out just for the fun of it. | |||
