Hack description

This game is the sequel to 7th Saga and it shows. Some say this game is even harder, but, is definitely worth playing for any old school RPG fan! This mod should allow you to play through the original or translated versions without any hassle from monsters!

What has been changed:

NOTE: This patch works on any version of the ROM file, including translations. Just make sure the ROM does not have a header!

Just Some ThoughtsKlaviaturist2011-12-15-

I waited a long time for the translation of Mystic Ark to be released. When it was, I jumped on it immediately and to this day consider the game to be one of the best games you have never heard of. It is very similar to 7th Saga as, I am guessing, the game was built using the same game engine. Even certain enemies from 7th Saga reappear. The games story sort of reveals itself as you play through, but nothing is truly revealed until the end of the game.

I am guessing this hack is made for those of us that have lost some patience in level grinding and just want to see where the story is going. As stated, it makes the stats of the characters leveled out so you can beat the game within just a few hours if you want. It's cool for those that don't want to hack the game and take the time to change all the characters.

For me, since I am mostly a purest when playing a RPG the first time around, it does take a lot of the fun out of the gameplay and the challenge as well. But I suppose that is the point. I did get somewhat bored playing the game this way as I have beaten it the way the game was intended. But for those that want to play the game just to see how everything plays out without having to grind levels, I would recommend using this hack. It doesn't take away from many of the puzzles that have to be solved in order to progress.
