The rebalance of sub-weapons and Alucard's fireballs are a good thing. But what makes this hack greater above all is the easy mode. Which is not easy at all, but puts it on par with the Japanese and European releases (in order to prevent players from finishing the game on a rental, it was common practise in the US to ramp the difficulty to absurd levels). Sure, you could play the JP rom, but it lacks some polish graphically (Konami was used to improve their games on the occasion of releases outside of Japan). Sure you could play the EU rom, but it is slower because of 50 hz PAL consoles.

In conjunction with Castlevania 3 Improvements from the same author Mureisky, we have in our hands what can be called a Definitive Edition!
