Hack description

The Light Warriors have failed, the world is in darkness; but somewhere, somehow, someone has vowed to rekindle the light of dawn and slay the Chaos who could not be stopped. Play as a Werewolf, Dragoon, Mystic Knight, Sorcerer, Monk, Summoner, Geomancer, Dancer, BlueMage, TimeMage, and Samurai with new equipment and abilities. Most maps were modified slightly, others were changed completely, and some were left alone. Text has been changed, and there are many other improvements and features with game-play and the battle system. The Canoe has been changed into a river Chocobo, and the boat now resembles the one from Final Fantasy Five. It is extremely rare to see the vehicles changed. Expect to see unusual weapons and remember to try casting your spells outside as there are no designated white magic or black magic; only summons, swords, elements, dances, blue magic, time magic, and various class abilities. Screenshots are Provoka and damaged town of Melmond.

Fun until I got to ChaosKnockDown2019-08-28Version 1.5

The game was tough, but manageable right up until the final boss. If you think you actually have a chance of beating him, think again. You'll think everything will be going swimmingly until he casts "XZone" and manages to instakill half your party with no hope of reviving them (as the life spell is not obtained until level 8 and shares charges with ultima and flare, which you WILL need to use against him). I want to like this hack. I genuinely do, but Chaos is too damn hard and I'm not gonna recommend a hack that I can't legitimately beat. I remember hearing that there's more than one ribbon, So maybe I can keep someone else alive, but I'm pretty sure the creator of this mod took them out because I cannot find them. I DO also remember seeing that the Dragoon can summon Bahamut, but I have NOT seen any shop that sells it. If someone else has beaten him, please email me how the hell you did it. I've got my party all the way to level 29 with a time mage, dancer, sorcerer, and dragoon party. I can be reached at [email protected]

Good remake, but bad bug at Volcano...alphamule2014-09-23-

A very well-made hack which doesn't feel like just a graphic/text edit. The shops are sometimes hard to find! :) The included chart is an uncommon Word format so I had to use an online converter but it's not a big deal if you're playing with FFHackster loaded alongside the emulator to figure out stats/restrictions of items.

Okay, a few issues with stone status:

1) Chakra is the only softening spell and Phoenix wasn't obviously the replacement for Soft potions.

2) Bug in Basilisks/Sphinx/other monsters in Volcano in that if you're turned to stone by them, then Phoenix can't revive you! This is really bad if it's your only/last Monk character. Combined with #1, this is a game-ender. You might as well reset and reload if this happens. Setting $6304 (or $6305/6) to 3 will give the first character Chakra. You can revert this cheat back once you get your Monk softened or at least once you're past the Volcano.
