Hack description

These patches will replace Mega Man with Proto Man in both the Mega Man II (U) and Rock Man 2 (J) ROM's. It does not include any new levels or ASM tweaks.

Features Include:

-Changed Mega Man into Proto Man
-Minor Palette changes to Intro and Title screens
-Altered Stage Select Graphics
-Altered Items 1, 2, and 3 sprites
-New password screen graphics and palette
-New Wily castle Intro palette
-Play as Proto Man in your favorite Rockman 2/Mega Man II ROM hack

The ending sprites have all been changed to Proto Man as well. This is the most complete Proto Man hack to date. It is to serve as a base for anyone wishing to hack Mega Man 2/Rock Man 2 using Proto Man as a playable character.

This hack is PHENOMENAL! This was actually the first hack that I ever played, and I loved it!! The author took a great deal of time to make a game that is true to the original, but with Protoman as the protagonist. This is one of those hacks that should just be played for the pure enjoyment. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
