This hack does exactly what it says. If you take damage, you revert to small mario (unless you are already small mario, in which case you die). I've played through most of the game and have seen zero issues. The other games within All Stars seem unaffected. Ever since I discovered this is how the japanese version of Super Mario 3 behaved, it's been my favorite way to play. It matches the behavior of all the other classic mario platformers (Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Bros 2 Japan, Super Mario World). If you prefer this damage system, I highly recommend this hack. I was itching to play the All Stars version, and was hoping this existed. Thank you for making this! | |||
