| A hack that won't suit everyone | diablo666 | 2022-03-25 | Version 1.0 |
The first thing I will praise for: a hack that was partially successful in the graphical part. For, there are solutions that are really good and refresh the original, and there are moments that spoil, and even worsen game situations. Cheap loss of 1-up due to graphical solutions is unacceptable. Second, but in the negative: Level Design. In some stages - It is designed honestly, interestingly (a minority of such stages), and somewhere - It is created for disappointment, pain and the similarity of KAIZO LEVELS (Most stages) In some cases, the palette goes well with the levels, but in most cases it is strange, and even there is "contraindicated for epileptics". In MOST cases: a huge abundance of enemies, that the situation turns out that you can't dodge damage, that the game will freeze, and in some cases even flicker (blink). The enemies are unchanged, then have a very large margin of safety, then a huge damage to you. And for some, AI has even changed for the worse. So - not a gift, but in this case - they just made the stages more impassable because of such enemies Conclusion: "The hack is poorly designed, so I don't want to go back to it. It brings mainly pain and frustration. If you like it, take it. And for others - who really want good things - you won't find it here." I can't recommend it because of the abundance of mistakes, mistakes and an obvious desire to make a less high-quality hack.
| Nice hack but with a couple of issues | erpster2 | 2020-05-25 | Version 1.0 |
This is a pretty good hack with different graphics and more difficult gameplay. I did find a couple of problems. One is that I could not complete the Bright Man stage - there's a section that requires sliding to proceed further but I get stuck in a narrow section and could not go any further; I had to use a walk-thru-walls cheat to go through that narrow passageway. Also the boss battle against Dr. Cossack in the 4th stage of his castle has some glitched or messed up graphics. Hopefully these problems could get fixed in a future version. other than these, I still recommend playing this game.
| Neat stuff in this hack. | ActionHenk | 2020-05-09 | Version 1.0 |
Good use of death pits. A good difference in style from later Mega Man games that (relatively speaking) started to use death pits less and less often. I like the idea of combining underwater with rain from Toad Man's stage. I recommend this hack.
