| Mega Man (3): Dr. Wily Visits Indonesia The third pancake is NO longer a lump | diablo666 | 2021-11-08 | Version 0.99 |
Тhe so-called third part... New title page and new music... And HERE is the most shameful Stage Select Megaman 8... FOR WHAT???? HAСK continues the tradition of "Indonesia". Could it this time? It's an open question. Graphically, if you look at the chronology as presented by the author, then graphically - the work is much better than 2 predecessors. Much better, much better. The background, "floor" - the right and interesting. However, there are drawbacks. When you are fighting a huge robotic snake, a question arises. "Do you think these are invisible blocks? NO WAY! A real chasm..." Robomaster names were replaced by some of the famous point from Indonesia. Commendable. Animation, or more precisely some things – became faster... That it seems you are not playing a simple hack, but some "Speed change". Enemies are more aggressive, more cunning, and faster. And creepy mini bosses. Cat - gives out a supersonic ball... the Chance to Dodge is almost small, as well as from fleas. The snake shoots many times with great speed... (well, who is lucky). Mega Mettaur shoots differently and creates even more enemies... there is almost no escape from the shots... and only find a weakness on these mini bosses... If these mini bosses were weakened, for the sake of decency, it would be better and more honest. Musical component... Music "victory" from Sonics games, Spring Yard Zone in Needle man, Star Light in Wily Castle??? MAN, I don't have words for how tasteless this decision is. As with many of the music from this hack. Listening to her, I found myself thinking that this was another joke... Quick man music - at the Sparkman stage... I'm just kind of terrified... I'm not talking about the sound of music because of the limitations of the hardware, I'm talking about the "zones" where it was put. (Although because of the bad mix MM8 - I was killed in the shower) 5 E-Tanks to the game... You can wear as much as the hack is programmed. Is that fair? BOSSES in this hack. As far as they are... Although, from what I will say - you will understand the conclusions yourself...
Functions. Here we added a feature – you are injured, you stay in one place. It works properly if you are on earth. But if you are above the pit, consider it death. And also-changed the position of the appearance of the character. Now we start the game not in the middle of the screen, but in the left corner. Moved the boss's health to the right side. More convenient, much more convenient. The most difficult thing is to make a conclusion... And very hard, believe me. But, despite the fact that this hack is much more annoying than those two... Did I like it the second time I played it? Honestly, even though I don't like too Hardcore... However, Yes, I liked it afterwards. The music is bad, but the author has given himself an attempt to diversify his art. The graphics have improved since then, and it doesn't cause artificial complexity, however the hack does have a bad side. But I can still recommend it. It's not so bad as to say it's no good. This hack has bugs with complexity, some wrong decisions, BUT... Overplaying can be fun. It has potential, but it is not fully realized. With a heavy weight, but I recommend it. Try it yourself, you may not be disappointed
| Mega Man: Dr. Wily Visits Indonesia - GOOD | Dobu_GM | 2021-08-18 | Version 0.99 |
Mega Man: Dr. Wily Visits Indonesia Levels: Good Graphics: Good Music: Okay Enemies: Okay Bosses: Good Weapons: Good Castle: Good Difficulty: EASY-MEDIUM Comments: It's hard to go wrong with Mega Man 3's Indonesia escapade. It's a speedy romp with some solid levels and an enhanced arsenal that makes the regular repertoire feel sluggish in comparison. Bosses are a bit more dangerous without going too overboard, thanks to many of their weaknesses knocking them out in five shots or so. And while there are some tricky platforming sections similar to After in Indonesia, MM3's Rush Jet lets you trivialize any challenge, giving this hack a breezy feel. I don't think there's anything exceptional about Dr. Wily Visits, but it promises a good time with few bumps, which is plenty fine for me.
| Amazing, but bad at the same time | Timaeus | 2020-09-17 | Version 0.99 |
Man, this hack got me conflicted. I loved the good parts but I despised the bad ones. Let's start with the good ones first. The graphics are top tier. The creator managed to created a great atmosphere with its MM graphics combined together. Pretty scheme of colors and nice details can be found here (I loved the use of the palette cycling to create a shining sun and waves. Pretty creative). Very colorful and it blends so well! One of the best graphical modifications of a MM3 hack for sure, maybe the best. The weapons were really damn nice! I loved how the creator managed to make the whole arsenal useful in a way, and the weapon edits were very nice for my tastes. Hard Knuckle is confusing and uncomfortable to control, though (the up and down function is inverted). I loved Spark Shock, Needle Cannon, Gemini Laser and mainly, by far, Magnet Missile (hooray for 28 uses and being faster!!!). Their damage is also well balanced and useful and they all felt good to use (except Top Spin, which doesn't kill enemies properly and it results in high contact damaging as a result). Some parts of the level design were very creative, with VERY good uses of sliding to reach new areas in ways that are not visible at first. The music is nice. Normally I dislike when the musics comes from other classic MM games, but here, they fit well for the atmosphere for the most part (also, nice Sonic 1 tunes here and there!) I also appreciate the removal of the knockback after getting hit. That really saved me sometimes and made things better. These were the parts that I loved about it. Now for the problems. The level design have waaay too much pits and spikes, but mainly pits. It becomes frustrating at some point, even with the removal of the knockback. Pits are not the best way to increase the difficulty, and the author really loves them. The huge amount of pits made me feel more exhausted that I should be. The sliding change was really bad. It lasts for a shorter time but goes further. It may not sound too bad, but the shorter sliding is enough to weirdly mess up with the rhythm that most MM players are adapted with, making dodging attack and doing constant actions weirdly uncomfortable (also not helped by the occasional lag and slightly imprecise controls when the lag happens). But my main problem here are the enemies and bosses, mainly the bosses. They are too fast compared to Megaman. Some of them becomes unpredictable because of that, and others are just too hard to defeat without weakness or Energy Tanks. Combine that with the lag and changed sliding and you have a very bad experience with them, and Yellow Devil Mark II has pits on its arena now. Seriously? I appreciate the attempts of trying to make them harder, but it ended up being frustrating. Lastly, the contact damage is really high for some reason. So yeah, the hack is certainly unique and has some very lovable parts, but it also has some bad parts that affects the gameplay. I really wanted to like this hack more, especially with such atmosphere and weapons. If you want to play it, make sure to use save states for the pit areas and do not be afraid of using weapons and Energy Tanks. I still recommend it because of how interesting the hack is and its ideas, but I recommend checking out Rockman Claw 3 over it. It also has a high quality, but you feel like you have more of a chance against the bosses and the levels.

They should just hand out copies of this hack at travel agencies; I don't even like travel, and it makes me want to visit Indonesia! This is another one of those wonderful Indonesian hacks by Anandastoon, and it delivers. This is a hacker who very quickly improved in terms of skill, and you can easily see it here. Though there aren't as many custom graphics as in earlier hacks, there is an excellent mix of borrowed and new tilesets that go together splendidly, making spectacular scenes that equal or even exceed what's been seen in official NES titles. Magnet Man's stage is a beautiful night city, and Gemini Man's stage is another lovely nightscape with handmade, pulsating crystals. Hard Man's stage has a lovely dark underwater area that's an absolute joy to explore. Snake Man's stage has a blood red sky, but the forests in the distance are a withered brown that makes an unbelievable backdrop. Shadow Man's stage is mostly brick red and has some neon decorations in the background that make it look very cozy. Even the Doc Robot stages are great, with Spark Man's stage displaying an electrifying combination of bright orange, pink, and deep magenta; and Needle Man's stage taking place over the docks at sunset with a heartwarming mix of oranges, blues, and purples. I also like the chamber with for the turtle boss in the first Wily stage; it's an open chamber with no water, but the little vortices whooshing up from the bottom. The new weapon palettes are great, with a soft green for Gemini Man's new weapon, and a blue that really pops for Top Man's new weapon. Speaking of new weapons, they were each altered a little, both aesthetically and in terms of function. Most of them just fly a little faster, but some have new mechanics, most of which make them more useful than before. The level design is challenging, but rarely frustrating; I'd say that it's about on par with the original game. The music is comprised mostly of tunes from other Mega Man games, but they are some of the best songs in the series; the hacker has excellent taste! This hack is just such a joy to experience.
| One of the best MM3 hacks, yet. | Zieldak | 2012-08-15 | - |
This hack is really good. Really good graphics, custom music is nice, and it isn't that buggy like others' hacks. Contains a lot of challenge for a beginner, but a pro player can still have problems with it. However, the weakness order was a bit easy to figure out. The game wasn't too hard, but without a the corresponding weapon, bosses can be really hard. I couldn't beat Snake Man without his weakness. Overall, this hack isn't too hard, but can cause some problems for beginners. The bosses are really hard with Mega Buster only. The creator also made changes to the weapons, which is nice. Hard Knuckle is really hard to control when you are on a ladder, though. When you go up, it will fly down. I liked it. I have even made a playthrough of it already. Try it out now!
