Translation description

All the text in the game has been translated. This includes both dialogue in the story mode and the win/lose quotes in the Battle mode, and the Engrish in the battle mode has been fixed. The patch has been thoroughly tested and works on the hardware. If you find a platform it doesn't work on, contact the author.

There are currently no known bugs. Please note, however, that the patch has only been tested on an American Sega Genesis Model 2. The code has been written in such a way that it should work on all models, though.

This is the definitive version of Streets of Rage 3. The only issue I have is that there is no way to enter my name to the high score after beating the game. It just defaults to a period. I looked up several YouTube playthroughs with this translation and the same issue is occurring where the name input is not displayed after defeating the final boss. I am using this in conjuction with Billytime games sram patch to save high scores and playing on a mega sg.

Bare Knuckle III is the zenith of a saga that was born to rival Final Fight and eventually surpassed it. That's why it's a shame that the localization work completely ruined the original game. I'm talking about: An intro screen removed. Censure Weird changes in voice acting and clothes Gameplay changes (for the worse) A middle boss completely erased for being... -perhaps a bit shocking for little kids With this simple patch, we can enjoy the game in the best possible way: Playing the Japanese game without renouncing to understand the storyline (which is nothing exceptional, but it is part of the experience).

Forget the US version of SoR3. Purge it from your mind even. THIS translation of Bare Knuckle 3 is the version you SHOULD be playing, and the version we SHOULD have gotten on the Genesis way back when! All the changes made from Bare Knuckle 3 to Streets of Rage 3 not only felt unnecessary, but actually ruined the experience for me! Not to mention those awful re-colors for all the characters... Thankfully, this translation will allow you to experience Bare Knuckle 3 and its story but in English! Speaking of the translation, it's a wonderful effort, and I can't recall running into any typos or errors. The story itself isn't all that complex or engrossing, but at least it's, you know, ACTUALLY THERE! Though already said in the readme, the difficulty level for BK3 was bumped up for SoR3, so Normal in SoR3 is actually Hard in BK3! I always wondered why I was getting my butt handed to me on the first stage! Seriously, download this if you haven't already! It's AMAZING!
