Final Fantasy I & II (J) [!].nesTranslation description
It seems that Demi simply copied over the U.S. Final Fantasy ROM as well as Neo Demiforce's Final Fantasy II translated ROM into this one, and made a patch. It looks like it may have been copied over a little too well, as both games use the same location in RAM to save data. Meaning, saving in Final Fantasy II will erase your Final Fantasy save, and vice versa. It's not too big of a deal with savestates, but this really isn't something to enjoy on your copier, dig?Screenshots

| US's ediditon semi-clone | Kolobamanacas | 2019-01-27 | Version 1.00 |
In my opinion, the only reason one would like to have a translation patch these days is to play the very original, uncut, pure and clean, version of the game. Which means accurate naming translation (i.e. characters names are not changed) and lack or censorship or other modifications made in later versions (like churches crosses removed and so on). Patching the original Japanese game with this patch turns the game into US edition's semi-clone, which makes it useless. This is very sad, because it seems like this is the only major attempt to translate the first Final Fantasy to English. | |||
